Description
Putter Chipper Combo — PGM TUG042 CNC — One Club, Two Jobs | FairwayWise
The PGM TUG042 is both a putter and a chipper in one club. Steel body. CNC-milled face.
Putt on the green with one side. Chip from the fringe with the other. Two clubs’ worth of utility. One slot in your bag.
Most golfers carry a putter and a chipper separately. The TUG042 does both.
From tight lies around the green, the chipper face delivers a bump-and-run — no wedge technique required. On the green, it’s a CNC-milled steel putter with solid feel.

Two Faces. One Club.
The TUG042 has two striking faces — a vertical putter face and a lofted chipper face. On the green, use the putter side. From the fringe, flip to the chipper side.
The loft pops the ball over the collar and gets it rolling. Same bump-and-run idea as a 7-iron. Designed for it.
The CNC-milled face makes this work. Both sides are machined — not cast. Identical grooves across the striking area.
Chipper side: predictable launch. Putter side: predictable roll. Most two-faced clubs cheap out on the machining. This one doesn’t.
But here’s the thing. This isn’t a gimmick. It’s a practical solution for the most common short-game mistake — chunking chips or blading them across the green.
One reliable motion. One club. Way fewer doubles.
Who Is This For?
Best for
- High handicappers who dread greenside chips. The chipper face replaces wedge technique with a simple putting stroke.
- Golfers wanting to free a bag slot. One TUG042 replaces both putter and chipper.
- Firm, tight courses. Chippers shine from short grass where wedges skip into the ball.
Skip if
- Low handicapper with sharp short game. Your wedges already do the job.
- Lush, soft courses. Chippers need tight lies. Deep rough still needs a wedge.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Is a putter chipper legal for tournaments?
A: Yes. Two-faced clubs are legal under the Rules of Golf. The TUG042 conforms to USGA and R&A equipment rules.
Q2: How does the chipper face work?
A: Use your normal putting stroke. The built-in loft pops the ball over the fringe.
It lands on the green and rolls like a putt. Zero technique required — no wrist hinge, no weight shift.
Q3: Can I use this as my only putter?
A: Yes. The putter face is a full CNC-milled steel putter.
Use it as your regular putter. Use the chipper face only when you need it.
Q4: What’s the actual loft on the chipper face?
A: Two-faced chippers typically sit in the 30-37 degree range — roughly a 7 or 8 iron. Enough to clear the fringe and get rolling. Not so much that the ball checks up.
