Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: September 24, 2026
FairwayWise is an independent publication about golf gear. This page explains how we make money, what our affiliate links are, and what we will never do.
The short version
Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission. This costs you nothing extra — the price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or not.
What is an affiliate link?
An affiliate link is an ordinary link to a retailer with a tracking code attached. The retailer uses that code to tell that a visitor arrived from our site. If you buy something after arriving through that link, the retailer pays us a percentage of the sale.
How we make money
We earn money in one way:
- Affiliate commissions — when a reader buys something through one of our links.
We do not sell advertising space. We do not publish sponsored posts. We do not charge manufacturers or retailers for coverage, placement, or ranking.
What we do not do
- We do not accept payment in exchange for a positive review, a ranking, or a place in a list.
- We do not let a commission rate decide what we recommend. A product with no affiliate program can appear in a guide; a product that pays well will not appear for that reason alone.
- We do not manufacture, warehouse, or sell the products we write about.
- We do not own test units, we do not buy samples for review, and we do not accept free products from manufacturers. When a guide says we have handled something, that claim has to be true; otherwise we do not make it.
- We do not change our editorial conclusions at the request of a brand or retailer.
How we research products
Our guides are built from manufacturer specifications, published product data, retailer listings, and feedback from owners in the wider golf community — forum threads, reviews, and long-term owner reports. Where sources disagree, we say so rather than picking the convenient number. Where a specification is not published, we say that too.
Pricing
We do not display live retailer prices unless a retailer supplies them through an authorized feed. Prices change constantly — always confirm the current price at the retailer before buying.
Cookies and tracking
When you click an affiliate link, the retailer — or an affiliate network acting on the retailer’s behalf — may set a cookie on your device so that a later purchase can be attributed to our site. These cookies are set by those third parties; we do not control their duration or content. Typical attribution windows range from 24 hours to 30 days.
